IID sends peak alerts from 4 to 9 PM. That is when rates are highest and the grid is most strained. A Powerwall lets you run on stored solar through those hours instead of buying from IID at peak prices. You charge the battery during the day with solar, then use that energy at night when rates are highest.
IID net billing pays you roughly 7 cents for extra solar you export. A Powerwall lets you use that energy yourself at night instead of selling it cheap and buying it back at retail. The battery is where the real savings are on IID.

From the first site visit to commissioning, we handle every step. You do not deal with the city, the county, or IID. We do.
Free site visit
We look at your electrical panel, your solar if you have it, and your backup goals. We help you decide between whole home and essential load backup.
Design
We design your backup system based on what you want to keep running. We size the battery or batteries to your loads and your budget.
Permit
We pull permits with your city or Imperial County. You do nothing. We handle all the paperwork and fees.
IID interconnection
If you have solar, we file the IID paperwork to connect your Powerwall and make sure your system is credited correctly.
Install
We mount the Powerwall, wire it to your panel, and configure it. Most installs take one day. Our crew is on every job.
Inspection
We pass the city or county inspection and commission your Powerwall. We show you how to use the Tesla app and monitor your system.
